What should I write for my match highlights?
All you need to give us is a few ideas to base the commentary on and we’ll do the rest! You don’t have to write a full blown script! Have a look or listen to the samples. Then tell us the drama eg last minute penalty, a sending off, a dog on the pitch, give us some detail eg your hero has a comb-over or is only six, or is fond of the finest kebabs. It can be the World Cup, a local league game, or your hero taking on the might of a Premiership club. Let your imagination run riot!
Sample 1 – George Peristiani ‘Super Defender’ download sample
George Peristiani is latest signing for Liverpool as their new super defender. He was picked out of obscurity playing for some obscure unpronounceable Greek side. He is having an abysmal opening match against Arsenal allowing Henry to get passed him time and again to leave the score line 2-0 up at half time. The fans boo him off at half time. As they come out for second half, his wife Simone is seen running out of the tunnel and wagging her finger giving him a good nag.
Sample 2 – Jake Spindler ‘The Mascot’ download sample
My 6 year old son Jake, is half German and half English. I would love him to play for England against Germany in the World Cup final and score the winning goal. He will have split loyalties, so let him come out as the mascot for Germany holding Michael Balak’s hand. His mum is always dressing him up warm, so have him wearing a scarf his mum made him.
Sample 3 – Max Willis ‘The Dribbler’ download sample
On a difficult pitch with only 8 Colts against a determined Watford Youth, it was always going to be a difficult game. Harpenden Colts however got off to a great start and there was no stopping Max Willis, as he broke through the Watford mid field, time and again with some fantastic runs and dribbling. With Tommy “The Poacher” Simpson up front getting himself into some great positions, it was not long before the Colts were awarded with a goal - and Stan Hambridge as always was there with the cross, offering a great ball into the penalty area - which Tommy easily put away.
In the final 5 miniutes of the game Everton are drawing with Liverpool 1-1. Liverpool are getting the better of Everton through pure luck even though Everton have had the most chances nothing is going in the back of the net. David Moyes has decided to bring on his new signing from Barcalona to try and save the day Ian Green. This being is debut. Everyone stands for his first entrance onto the pitch. He places his trademark Aviator sunglasses onto his face and runs out on the pitch. The ref comes over a gives him a yellow card for wearing the glasses. He get passed Stevie Gerard, jumps over Peter Crouch landing with a smooth forward role an excellent pass from Johnson and scores the winning goal with 3 seconds left on the clock. Everton Win 2-1.
